Routines or Resolutions: Moo Year, Best You

Routines or Resolutions: Moo Year, Best You

Are you Team Resolution or Team Routine? 5 reasons routines may lost longer for you… and how our marketing team members are upholding theirs this year.

As we roll from January into February, where do you fall on the spectrum of starting the year with sustainable habits and lasting routines?

It’s the time of year where resolutions are a hot topic… or maybe they’ve faded out since many of us are recognizing that a resolution to kick off the year isn’t necessarily realistic. If resolutions aren’t doing it for you, we're here to help you establish routines that you can take with you all year long.

Here’s why routines trump resolutions every time:

1. Consistency Builds Results

Small, repeated actions lead to long-term progress. Unlike resolutions, routines focus on achievable steps rather than dramatic changes that are hard to sustain.

2. Sustainability Over Perfection

Routines adapt to life’s ups and downs. Missing one day doesn’t derail your progress, unlike the “all or nothing” mindset of resolutions.

3. Less Pressure, More Progress

With routines, there’s no unrealistic pressure. You focus on steady improvement without guilt or burnout.

4. Healthy Habits Become Second Nature

Over time, routines become automatic, making it easier to stick with your wellness journey.

5. A Lifestyle Shift

Routines create a lasting, healthy lifestyle by integrating wellness into your daily life—not just for the new year.

Now that we have a few reasons to back up how effective creating new routines can be (or re-committing to one you may have lost in the holiday season) - check out what our marketing team members are hoping for this year, and what they’re doing to keep it realistic.

Hope For The Year

Continuing our sweet routine with little kids, time at home with family, and opportunities to try new things together

Our co-founder Erica shares a bit more on how she stays the most present as a mom of four. Between school drop-off, mommy dates, breastfeeding, and now having a baby boy in the family, there's always something new to keep her on her toes.

Tip: Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good. Sometimes, getting daily movement looks like sneaking just 10 minutes in, knowing that getting interrupted is actually just a chance for more time as a mom.

Time for your resolutions to turn into routines!

We hope you feel that you can connect to one, if not a few, of our marketing team members! Just our little reminder that we're all doing our best (or trying... not every day is stupendous).
