Erica's Favorite Back to School Things

Erica's Favorite Back to School Things

Featuring a balance of fuel and fun!!

School is almost here, which means so is back to school shopping. Whether you enjoy shopping in-store or prefer to order online, we hope our child inspired shopping list will keep things mooo-vin’ before the first day back.

1. Snacks

  • We like MOSH Bars because they’re straightforward with their ingredients
  • Bobo’s Bars
    • While I like to watch the amount of bars my kids eat, these do taste like dessert to them and they're packed with oats for fiber intake.

2. Lunchbox

I love throwing this one in the freezer the night before - it keeps their lunches cool on warm back to school days! Get the lunchbox!

3. Bows & headbands

Doing hair five mornings a week doesn’t always happen, but I find that bows and headbands do a fantastic job of smoothing out any unbrushed strands and keeping hair out of their eyes. Cute ones here!

4. Striped Crew Socks

These instantly elevate school uniforms, and I don’t see this trend going anywhere :) (Not that I’m the one to know the trends… but I see this as a good one!) Shop the trend!

5. Water bottles

Did we even drink water in elementary school back in the 90s?! Anyway, we love these ones because they spill less than others (so far!) Let me know if you find a spill-safe one that’s kid approved... that's a mission not yet accomplished. Keep them hydrated!

6. Supplements

  • WonderCream: Mostly for me, for a little extra dose of calming focus with my morning matcha. Rob also loves it in his coffee most mornings.
  • Vanilla Colostrum Powder: I mix this into the girls’ morning milk to get them nutrients first thing in the morning. This way, even if they don’t eat much of their breakfast, I know they at least have some quality, bioactive nutrients doing some good for them!

7. Pencil bag

When you get a chance to let their personalities shine, a pencil bag is a fun spot to do so. We also love anything featuring sequins, pink, sparkles, rainbows, kitties, or dazzles (I still am not quite sure what those are exactly, but the girls refer to them a lot). Fun bags here!

Here’s to a season of early mornings, packed lunches, and moments that make it all worth it. Whether you're crossing off a list or just trying to get out the door on time, we hope this roundup adds a little joy (and a lot of ease) to your back-to-school routine.

Wishing you and your family a wonderful start to the school year!
