5 Summer Crafts & Games for Kids

5 Summer Crafts & Games for Kids

Snack-tivities, anyone?

Who said you can’t blend wellness and fun allll summer long? While some kids thrive in the pool for hours on end, and others can ride scooters around the cul-de-sac until the cows come home, we do know that it’s not uncommon for kids’ go-to summer phrase to become the notorious “I’m bored…”

How they can ever feel bored, we’d truly love to know. And as that one mom/thinker/development specialist recently publicized, it may even be good and beneficial for kids to be bored! Regardless, we’re here to share a few ways to add some flavor to the rest of your summer weeks at home. Literally, taste test approved.

Whether your days are packed with playdates or you’re embracing the slow summer mornings (or both!), we put together five easy, creative ideas that blend crafts, snacks, and WonderCow Colostrum for a season that’s just as nourishing as it is entertaining.

3. Backyard "Glow-Up" Obstacle Course

Create a simple but exciting obstacle course right in your backyard. Whether you live on the dairy or in the city, all you need is a little space and a big imagination.

 Ideas:

  • Use sidewalk chalk for hopscotch
  • Bean bags for a toss challenge
  • Hide objects for a scavenger hunt
  • Add a "Fuel Station" with colostrum-infused lemonade
  • Finish up with protein balls made with Bioactive Beef Protein Powder
City Tip: Invite the neighbors to join in at the local park! Everyone brings an activity that becomes a step of the course. Voila: Obstacles!

This will be sure to keep your kids busy and content as well as fueled for their many adventures.

4. Snackable Art Time

Who says art isn’t edible?

Set out plain rice cakes, mix yogurt with natural food coloring (and a scoop of colostrum), and let your kids "paint" their snacks. Top with fruit slices, granola, coconut, or a drizzle of honey for a snack that’s just as fun to make as it is to eat.

Hint: The messier they get the better.

5. Wind Down with Puzzles & Chocolate Milk

After a busy day in the sun, wind down with a cozy puzzle corner.

In a glass, froth warm milk into our Chocolate Colostrum Powder. It’s the perfect mix of comfort and nourishment to transition into naptime (or bedtime!).
